One of my favorite 'extra' gifts to give to a Graduate is Dr. Seuss' book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!", the last book written by Dr. Seuss.

It's a wonderful book about all of the things that could happen as you proceed through your life.  I don't know if you'd find any of it interesting as a quote, but I believe it would be a terrific basis for a farewell speech!!  Read the text, and I think you'll find it terrific!  Truthfully, any of them would be a great way to end a farewell speech!
