Grady Sizemore’s return into Majors is uncertain – MLB Update
Three-time Major League Baseball All-Star Grady Sizemore’s return into the league is still uncertain. He had micro-fracture surgery on his knee in September which is still in a healing process and the team doctors have not given him clearance to play any kind of baseball.
His agent Joe Urban has also recently spoken in the media and told some reporters about Sizemore’s current recovery process. Urban was very clear saying that his client’s recovery process has been slight slow and that is the main reason his doctors are uncertain and not giving any dates of his potential return.
However, he gave little assurance that around midseason of 2013 Major League Baseball season, Sizemore might return to the field.
"He has a good mindset, He knows what to expect and what each step brings. He has every intention of coming back when he's 100 percent, and not a day sooner," Urban said as he explained in the media.
Earlier in the recent past, Joe Urban, Sizemore's agent, has also said in the media, “Grady is working his way back, Everyone wants to know how he's doing, I think he just pushed too hard to try and come back last season, He still wants to play."
Sizemore has played his entire career in the Cleveland Indians so far but after injuring his back during the 2012 Major League Spring Training, his regular season’s campaign received a major hammering as he could not recover from injury and remained on the disabled list during the entire season.
As the season ended, Sizemore filed for free agency and started negotiating with other leading MLB teams for a potential long-term contract.
However, Indians remain confident to bring him back for the next season. Cleveland Indians' general manager Chris Antonetti has said, "We're open to bringing him back, but the economic commitment would be far less than what it's been in the past. He's a good defensive player, He made big impact in the short time he was here.”
Sizemore is carrying career .269 hitting average along with 139 home-runs, 458 RBIs and .357 OBP.
