"We've pretty much been on the front foot throughout this Test series ... the weather played a big part in Dunedin and here…we were the one team pushing to win ... we gave ourselves an opportunity to win,” said Smith while speaking to media reporters on
Tuesday after his side claimed a 1-0 series win against New Zealand, as the third and final Test at Wellington ended in a draw.
"We missed some opportunities today that would have allowed us to win two-nil... I think [one-nil] is a fair reflection," he added further.

"It's been a terrific tour for us," said the South African skipper, who took over the role back in 2003 at the young age of 23. "Any tour where you can walk away with every trophy is a tick.
“There have been some great performances throughout the six-and-a-half weeks. All teams in all formats have played well, which is what you want," he added further.
The New Zealand vice captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BB-McCullum-c1129 also hailed the South African team for their outstanding performances all throughout the tour, and said that the Proteas deserved to win the series.
The Proteas will next play http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in a one-off T20 match at Johannesburg on March 30, before touring England in July this year.
