http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, who, Swann thinks, is more
dangerous and can cause an upset at any time.
Ahead of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, almost all analysts and cricket experts are predicting that Tendulkar is going to be the biggest threat for the English. Earlier, some former English skippers also expressed similar views.
This common opinion is based on the fact that Tendulkar, who is known as the Master Blaster for his tremendous batting skills, poses to be at the top of Test and ODI scorers list of all the times. He has 99 international centuries to his credit and is looking
for the 100th on the English soil.
However, Swann thinks differently and considers Dhoni to be the mammoth challenge for the home team.
Talking to the media today, the spinner said, “It would be very, very risky to focus all our energies on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556. Sure, he's the best player in the modern generation but they've got so many other good players, and if we focus all our energies on
just one guy, there's going to be someone else sneaking in the back door.”
He further told, “MS Dhoni is possibly the most charismatic Indian player they have ever had. He's probably a more important member of the team right now than any other player, because he leads from the front and is a very dangerous cricketer. If we can
get at anyone, he's probably the key man."
Dhoni has gained immense respect and fame around the globe after bringing home the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011 Trophy. Moreover, he has led the Chennai Super Kings to claim two back-to-back titles of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
On the basis of these glittering facts, Swann is wary of Dhoni’s occult capabilities, both as a leader and player.
Swann, who has 140 Test wickets to his name, will also be looking for some iconic performances in the crucial series that is set to start tomorrow, July 21, at Lord’s.
