English spinner Graeme Swann will miss the remaining One Day Internationals (ODIs) against arch rivals http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 due to an injury scare in the ongoing five-match series.
The 33-year-old is suffering from a sore right elbow, which is not serious for now however, the team management is taking no chances to risk the participation of the star bowler in the upcoming series against the South Africans, which is scheduled to start
from July 19.
Swann, who has remained a mainstay of the English side in all international formats of the game, has played 44 Tests, 71 ODIs and 31 T20Is with 188, 96 and 41 wickets respectively. The off-spinner, as part of the rotational policy, was earlier rested for
the third ODI against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 at Leeds which was abandoned due to rain.
The national selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nottinghamshire-c826 player has some pain in his bowling arm at the moment, an extra week’s rest will make the spinner feel better before the start of the next big assignment.
