Graeme Swann returns home early to undergo elbow surgery - Cricket News Update
Graeme Swann, England’s spearhead off-spinner, has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing tour of New Zealand, and will return home early to undergo surgery on his right elbow, as he faces a race against time to get completely fit ahead of the Ashes
series in July.
Swann’s recurring elbow injury flared up during England’s warm-up match in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834 last week, but it’s seriousness emerged on Wednesday morning when he was left out of starting XI for the first Test against New Zealand, which started in Dunedin today,
March 6, 2013. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Monty-Panesar-c2024 is the other specialist spinner in the visiting side for the first Test.

in the United States of America next week, at the same hospital where http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 recently had his elbow operated. The release further said that the talismanic off-spinner was expected to return to competitive cricket in the early summer.
"http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 has been ruled out of the current Test series against New Zealand due to a right elbow injury,” An ECB statement said. “Swann will travel to the United States next week to have an operation and will then undergo a period
of rehabilitation allowing an anticipated return to competitive cricket in the early summer. A further update will be available following the operation," the statement read further.
