England’s spearhead spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 on Wednesday lauded fellow spin bowler, Monty Panesar, for his impressive show in the second Test against India, saying he was happy to play second fiddle to the left-armer, provided the Poms continue winning.
After facing a crushing defeat at the hands of India in the first Test in Ahmedabad, the Three http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Monty-Panesar-c2024, annihilating the hosts by ten-wickets to level the series 1-1.
The 30-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Samit-Patel-c2426, was England’s wrecker in chief on the turning Wankhede wicket last week, returning with career best figures of 11 for 210.

"Monty bowled like a magician and I was more than happy to support him," Swann wrote in his column in the Sun. "I'm so happy that Monty took 11 wickets and performed so well. I think myself and Monty complement each other well," the 33-year-old Northamptonshire off-spinner added further.
Swann, who recently surpassed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Charles-Laker-c65541’s record of most Test scalps by an English spinner, said that Panesar is a huge threat against the right-handed Indian batsmen, while he himself takes care of the left-handers in the opposition batting line-up, adding that it works really well for them.
"I don't mind one bit that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Northamptonshire-c824 man, who made his Test debut in 2008, eight years after playing his first One Day International.
"All that matters is that the team won. Mind you, I'd always be happy to pay second fiddle if I took eight wickets - including my 200th in Test cricket - every time!," he added further.
Swann also ranked England’s 10-wicket win over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820, as one of the finest of his career.
