England’s premier off-spinner, Graeme Swann, is geared up for the Ashes series and revealed that the aim of his team is to regain the top spot in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Test Ranking.

Swann expressed that becoming the world’s best team was a moment of satisfaction for his and the whole side is now keen to climb up the rankings once again.
“We climbed up to number one in the world, which was a feat we aimed to do and we were pleased with, but we didn't stay there for long. We want to get back up there and until we are we won't see ourselves as a dominant force,” said the off-spinner.
Over the last five years, the 34-year-old cricketer has played a massive role in the success of the English team. Swann has so far represented the Poms in 52 Tests, 79 One Day Internationals and 39 T20 Internationals, having picked up 377 wickets at the
ultimate stage of the game. Apart from his wily off-spin bowling, the cricketer from Northampton is more than handy as a lower-order batsman.
While talking about the Ashes, which starts tomorrow at Trent Bridge, Swann expressed his excitement and said that both the teams are working hard to start the series in an efficient manner. The off-spinner further added that Trent Bridge is one of his favourite
grounds in England.
Swann added, “I'm sure there's 11 players in our dressing room and 11 in theirs that have been looking forward to this for a very long time. I've just been at Trent Bridge, the best Test cricket ground in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, soaking up the sunshine and the pre-Ashes
atmosphere is very exciting.”
The experienced cricketer appears to be in great form with both bat and ball, having scored a brilliant 94 in a warm-up fixture against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Essex-c783. On top of that, the off-spinner picked up a five-wicket haul in the second innings.
