Grafelli in form for claiming the next in line graded race, Korean Racing Authority Tyros Stakes
The 11 to 10 entry for the Group 3 Korean Racing Authority Tyros Stakes, the two-year-old bay colt, Grafelli, has struck a back-to-back and today is taking his chances for bagging a hat-trick. He will be accompanied by four other two-year-old contestants
over the seven furlong trip on Thursday, 26th July at Leopardstown. The winner will get to take away the €30,875 prize money.
The bay colt started racing just during the current season and has three races posted on the record out of which two are successes.
The Jim S. Bolger trained bounced into the career on 1st July, 2012 in the Barronstown Stud European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden at Curragh over seven furlongs. The two-year-old ended fifth in the field of eight, as successfully clearing the
maiden that day was The United States.
Hannouma’s son made the most out of the next chance that he got for breaking his maiden. He cleared the maiden on 11th July, 2012 in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Colts & Geldings) at the Naas race course over six furlongs.
Grafelli won by the margin of just half a length while riding with jockey, Kevin Manning. Three Sea Captains settled as the runner-up.
Two tries at breaking the maiden got the two-year-old an entry in the graded company. His reaching out to that level just through the third outing of the season was reflection enough of his performance and potential.
The bay colt out of mare, Spark Sept, won the Group 3 Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes on 22nd July, 2012 at Curragh over 6 ½ furlongs.
The Sylvain Benillouche owned won the race by an impressive margin of 6 ½ lengths with jockey, Kevin Manning onboard.
Settling as the runner-up of the race was, Hard Yards.
The two-year-old Irish bay colt gifted the connections just with what they wanted, a grandeur success in the graded company not by luck but by effort and hard work.
Kevin Manning will be there with the F. Benillouche bred for his straight second graded race and the duo has been allotted the first gate to break from on the soft ground.
