  1. to other it maybe vandalism but to the ppl who do it is a way to express themselves. Depends actually~~

  2. Graffiti

Of Course its ileagle! how would you like it if someone did that to your propety? Think of your propety as homework. Then a person comes and draws wrong anwsers in big red letters.

Drawing Graffiti in your own propety?

Yes unless youre not going to sell it!!

  3. Graffiti is a 3000 year old art and by no means anything new.

The idea that there is a free expression for everyone is the most noble ideas for art. graffiti minus tags, vulgarity and destructive behavior is some of the finest art to do. I'm not saying go tag every the local target but practice does make perfect. the graffiti scene absolutely art. look at Jean-Micheal Basquiat he was an early graffiti artist in new york and ended up side by side with Andy Warhol.

  4. both

tagging is stupid and looks ugly, vandalism

actual time-consuming graffiti is an art

on train cars i dont mind because it just decorates the outside of something ugly and it does absolutely no harm... but tagging or graffiti(ing) bulidings, fences, exc is wrong

    ♥

  5. vandalism can be art. haha

I can go and tag up someones brick house...that would be vandalism but im still creating art on that old man's brick wall.

I would never do such a thing though. way rude and inconsiderate.

  6. Graffiti is an art

    Tagging is vandalism

  7. It all depends...some graffiti ARTISTS use it as a way of expressing themselves...just like art if it's good people will appreciate and accept it if it's bad people will just think it is what it is an eyesore...and then theres tagging...*sigh* the pointless display of some kid who thinks they're important enough to have their name scrawled across others property, unimaginative street name...

    the good...

    the bad...

    And the ugly...

  8. depends if it is legal or not!

if it is legal... IT"S PURE ART!!!

if it's illegal...... best not to do it!

  9. Graf is art.

  10. Vandalism my fence is Colour-bond Green because I payed for it and some Idiot tagged it and i say Idiot because GRAFFITI-EST  don't have the intelligence to be an imbecile

The n***s painted the star of david on all Jewish buildings art or Vandalism You cannot have it both ways ?????

HOW CAN I GET A THUMBS DOWN IT IS MY FENCE I PAYED FOR IT AND SOME DISGUSTING IDIOT TAGGED IT

i do intend to call the police next time

  11. Graffiti is Graffiti  Art is distinguished by where it is Drawn

for instance on somebodies wall without permission

on a Train / Bus Veacle or at the station/ stop.

Art, is the drawing, but put in a painting, on canvas ,on

    Advertising Bill Boards.....Legally

BUT I think there's a third that everyone is missing in this

debate !  Now aactuallyin some cases called 'Tagging' this

is real Graffiti....as it is often misspelled..unfinished words

gibberish...and usually a sentence of nonsense or profanity!

This to me is REAL Graffiti ! not well drawn art placed in

    the wrong place.

  12. it really depends.... if someone uses graffiti just to 'mark their territory' without paying any real attention to the aesthetic (visual) or conceptual (meaning) of what hey are doing then it probably is basically just vandalism. however if the 'artist' has some awareness of what it means to create such graffiti then it could well be art.

but obviously these aren't strict rules.

in some sense anything can be 'ART' if the creator intends it to be.    whether something is art or not isnt a black and white decision ...... the decision ultimately lies in the hands of the artist or the viewer
