Grafton Henry likely to prevail in the Grade A2 event at Peterborough
Grafton Henry has won the best odds for the Grade A2 flat race at Peterborough in England on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. The winning greyhound will be given a cash prize of £83.
A total of six quality competitors will be seen in action over the 420 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 22:16 GMT. Their names are as follows: Grafton Henry, Knockrour Boom, Merills Merlyn, Drumcrow Junior, Moss Row Mark and Gan On Jim.
The bookies believe that Grafton Henry will manage to walk away with a victory at Peterborough, as he is in good form at the moment. He might also attract a lot of bets from the punters today.
The H. Dimmock’s trainee does not have a lot of experience, thus he might find it a little hard to dominate the proceedings completely. However, he has the tools to take the top spot and will give a tough time to his rivals.
The white and brindle dog is a regular at Peterborough, which means he will have no issues with the track conditions. However, he will have to be at his best in order to challenge his opponents.
In his most recent outing, Grafton Henry managed to surprise one and all with his speed and stamina. He was not rated favourite to win back then, but produced a superb run, which led him to victory by one length. This helped him attract a lot of attention
for today’s race, but he will need to finish on top in order to prove his consistency.
Today’s favourite hound is the son of Crash out of Droopys Olive and was born in July 2010. He is the youngest of all participants taking part in the race.
On the other hand, Knockrour Boom might also manage to attract some bets in his favour. He has got some experience to his name, but has been unable to deliver a strong show in recent times. He has a great opportunity to break the shackles today, but there
will be a lot of pressure exerted on him by other runners.
Apart from the top two favourites, Merills Merlyn and Drumcrow Junior might also manage to cause a few problems for their opponents.
