Swansea City forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Graham, is confident that his side can pull off a result when they play host to Manchester United on Sunday.
The South http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 outfit, which made an entry into the English top-flight last term, have secured impressive results against the Premier League’s big guns.
During the previous season, the club got the better of Manchester City, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Arsenal, and also chalked out points against the big teams this time around.
However, Michael Laudrup’s unit lost both of their matches to Manchester United, with their last duel with the Red Devils at the Liberty Stadium ending in a 1-0 defeat.
19 points separate both the teams going into the fixture. United will be looking to further stretch their 5 match unbeaten streak and put daylight between them and their chasing neighbours, Manchester City.
The Swans, on the other hand, will be vying to close the gap on the top-six teams with a win. They currently have 23 points from 17 games and hold the tenth spot in the table.
Anyhow, despite the sublime current form of their Sunday opponents, Graham feels that his side have got what it takes to stun the nineteen times champions.
The striker revealed that the whole squad was determined to get the better of United as they are the only top flight team in the competition they are yet to take points of.
“United is the one result we haven’t got… We were unlucky at home against them last year. We had chances, but didn’t take them. It was a 1-0 defeat and we can take heart from that,” he told the reporters.
“What the boys have done this season has been great and we can go into the game full of confidence and it’s another great game for the fans.”
“We are looking to get a result because we didn’t get anything last year and we are looking to put that right.”
Earlier, the Swansea boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 at the Emirates Stadium and will also give a tough time to United. The Swans went on to beat the Gunners 2-0 then. Whether the second part of his prediction also comes
true is yet to be seen.
