Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 manager, George Graham has gone on to state that Arsene Wenger is the ideal man to help the Gunners move forward, but feels that in order for him to do so, he needs to try and bring in some more talented players into the team.
The Gunners are currently sitting in the eighth spot in the league table, and should the team manage to beat Reading tonight, the club will go on and sit in the fourth spot in the league table. However, despite them moving up the table, they would still be sitting a massive fifteen points behind Manchester United, who are currently the league leaders.
The current season has been a rather poor one for Arsenal, with the team producing some very forgettable performances in recent weeks.
Having lost to Bradford in the Capital One Cup was probably one of the lowest points in the team’s recent history, which is why many feel that the time for change is now or never.
Graham feels that Wenger can help with the change, as long as he can try and bring in some more top quality players.
"There is a lot of hysterical criticism about Wenger now. If you want to stay in the top four, he is the man without question," said the former Arsenal manager.
"Let's give Arsene the credit. He brought in players for average prices - http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petit-c29836.”
"They were all very good players unknown to the fans in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 that he turned into fantastic world-class players. That was his strength.”
"He did it on a tight budget so it's not like they are now going to go out and break the transfer record.”
"They have never done it during Arsene's reign so in my opinion he has got to get his magic hat on again and go out and see if he can get players of that quality at good prices."
At the moment, Arsenal are being linked with moves for a host of new faces, who could potentially make the move to the club in the January transfer window.
Should that prove to be true, then the team could have a completely different run in, in the second half of the current Premier League season.
