Graigues Orchard and Mags Gamble in contention for the Grade OR Heat 16 (4 To Qualify) at Wimbledon
Mags Gamble will race as a favourite with the odds of 10 to 11 in the Grade OR Heat 16 (4 To Qualify) at Wimbledon on 28th April, 2012. He will compete with five other competitors for a purse of £110 over a distance of 480 metres.
The son of Crash, out of Movealong Rose, will be making his debut at Wimbledon.
Since most of his races took place at Newcastle, the track does not offer him any particular advantage.
Debuted his racing career on 9th April last year, trained by H. Williams, the hound’s performance is improving this season as he is currently on a hat-trick, with two consecutive victories at Shawfield.
On 7th April, 2012, he defeated, Tricky Chuggy, by an immense margin of 9 ¼ lengths in the Grade OR Bettor.com Betting on the Dogs 500 Trophy, when he covered 500 metres in 30.59 seconds.
His next start, the Grade OR Bettor For Betting on the dogs 500 Trophy Final, took place on 13th April, 2012. With his brisk pace, he triumphed over, Droopys Luisao, by 2 ¼ lengths in 30.23 seconds.
Whelped on 14th August, 2009, the hound will be running for his hat-trick in today’s race.
Graigues Orchard, will enter the race from trap 3. The S. Mason trained hound will also be making his debut at this track, after mostly running at Sheffield, Hall Green, Newcastle and Monmore.
The son of Westmead Hawk, out of Graigues Echo, has shown immense progression this season by stringing together five victories on the trot, starting from 15th March, 2012, to 4th April, 2012.
The white and black hound finished third in the Grade OR Ladbrokes Blue Riband - 2nd Semi-final at Hall Green on 11th April, 2012, where he completed 480 metres in 29.17 seconds.
Mags Gamble may have the highest odds, but it is speculated that Graigues Orchard might bag the victory, but it will be a heated battle and an exciting race.
