Graigues Orchard favourite to win Standard Division 1
Graigues Orchard is leading the betting market for The Ladbrokes Standard Division 1 which will take place at Hall Green racecourse on Wednesday night, April 18.
The Open Race over a distance of 480 meters is set to start at 21:25 (GMT). For the prize cheque of £500, the S. Mason-trained white and black dog will compete against Freds Champ, Jaytee Tiger, Bangcrashwallop, Coolykereen Rum and Aherlow Shaw.
Graigues Orchard has been enjoying great form since the dawn of 2012. The three-year-old veteran hound won five races in a row from March 15 to April 4, 2012. He went ahead to finish 3rd in his last outing on April 11.
During 2011, the talented son of Westmead Hawk out of Graigues Echo registered some iconic feats. He won two consecutive races each in the months of November and December.
The dashing dog’s recent purple patch is a clear evidence of his excellent racing skills and a prelude of his promising career that he will build up in the coming months.
Graigues Orchard is expected to make a big impact in tonight’s showdown, having as high as 96 percent chances to finish first.
Coolykereen Rum and Freds Champ will also be able to do well in the race.
Coolykereen Rum bagged four consecutive triumphs from November 11, 2011 to January 20, 2012. J. Meek’s black dog proceeded to earn two wins along with a runner-up rank in March. The son of Ace Hi Rumble out of Moses Bridge finished 3rd in his
last outing on April 12.
Freds Champ elegantly attained two conquests in November 2011. The C. Allsopp-trained black dog went ahead to clinch a 3rd and a 2nd spot in December. The veteran hound nicely finished first by 5 lengths on April 11, 2012.
Despite both these hounds being strong enough, Graigues Orchard will be able to make his way towards victory convincingly. The favourite dog’s stylish leaps will be fantastic to watch. Good luck to him.
