Graigues Orchard tipped to win Ladbrokes Spring Festival Dogs - Heat 3
S. Mason’s trainee, Graigues Orchard, has the best chances of winning the Ladbrokes Spring Festival Dogs - Heat 3 at Monmore in England on Monday, March 19, 2012. The winning greyhound will walk away with a cash prize of £150.
A total of six quality runners have lined up for the Grade OR, 480 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 15:28 GMT. Following are the entries confirmed for it: Graigues Orchard, Roses Rockin, Bonamassa Buddy, Bandicoot Fionn, Sharp Bullet and Droopys
Trump.
Graigues Orchard is a decent runner and he has been performing well over the past few months. This is why the bookmakers have shown confidence in his abilities and the punters will also be interested in placing the maximum number of bets in favour of his
victory.
The white and black dog set a decent trial time at Monmore recently and then followed it by an even better performance in a race. Although he managed to win the event by just a head distance, he proved his worth to one and all.
The seasoned runner did have a few problems in the race, as he was crowded through the middle section, but still recovered well and ended up on top. He was not the favourite that time around, but impressed the bookmakers for today’s race at Monmore.
Graigues Orchard is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Graigues Echo and was born in August 2009.
On the other hand, Roses Rockin has also been given pretty decent odds for the race, despite his recent struggles in this class. He is a seasoned runner and was doing a decent job at the start of this year.
However, a couple of lacklustre performances put D. Knight’s trainee on the back foot and he seems to have lost the momentum now. He has failed to win any race out of his last six attempts, but has the potential of breaking the shackles at Monmore.
The punters will not be risking much money on the second favourite hound, who is the son of Droopys Vieri out of Coolavanny Posh and was born in August 2009.
Bonamassa Buddy and Bandicoot Fionn are the other two hounds expected to perform well today. However, their chances of victory are very slim, as Graigues Orchard looks in very good shape at the moment.
