Grammar people!! can you proof read this letter?

Can you just fix all the comma errors and mistakes please!! thanks:

Although I am not prideful of what I must present to you, it is essential that I explain to you exactly what is going on. I have recently been in an abusive relationship with my current husband; this has caused extreme danger to my children, and myself. Prior to my renting an apartment at Stony Creek, I obtained a P.F.A against him. For the short months that we have resided in this apartment, my family and I have lived in peace. But recently, he has learned where we are currently living and has been harassing us for many days. I appreciate your extreme kindness, and extensive assistance in helping me acquire this apartment. But I m asking that you will be so kind, once again, in helping me leave Stony Creek. It has been a great pleasure living here, but for the safety of my children and myself it is primitive that we stay with close family for the time being. Thank you for all of your efforts.

"Prideful of" is an awkward and somewhat outdated expression.

Ditto for "many days."

"I appreciate your extreme kindness and extensive..."  There shouldn't be a comma in there.

Never start a sentence with 'But.' Try 'however' instead.

The use of the word "primitive' implies that the people in question are acting like cave men. Sure, the word can be used in that context, but perhaps find something more appropriate. Perhaps 'most important'?

The second to last sentence is a bit odd.  I question the use of the word "primitive,"  Here's what I think would sound better.  " ' but for the safety of my children and myself, it is imperative that we stay with close family for the time being.' "
