Gran Canaria, Puerto de Mogan or Puerto Rico?

Never been to Gran Canaria, planning a last minute holiday flights permitting, have seen apartments in both resorts and not sure which one would suit us. We're young late 40's, like nice scenery, eating out, bars etc. Enjoy entertainment of all types although the clubbing days are over! Although, don't mind just going out for a relaxing drink and people watching. Don't know much about either resorts, are they very hilly (don't know what shoes to pack!) Also wondering what the temperatures are like now and does it get chilly in the evening? Any info would be great. Cheers!!

Hi, i`ve been to GC 6 times now cos i love it so much! There`s a lovely resort called Maspalomas which has the famous sand dunes which stretch for miles. There are plenty of bars and restaurants scattered around the resort and a lovely shopping centre called Faro 2 which also has bars and restaurants. There`s also Holiday World which has bars, bowling alley, fairground etc. I`ve never had a bad holiday in GC. Only stopped in Puerto Rico once and i`ll warn you that is VERY hilly(a bit much in the heat) and there`s about a million steps down to the beach! As for the weather it is hot all year round and july and august are probably the hottest, its generally the winter months where it gets slightly more chilly in the evenings (but only like how our summer evenings are really) Hope this helps and have a great time.
