I am a RCI member and saw the Gran Melia Resort and was thinking about putting my week in but am reconsidering after seeing some of the reviews.

Is it sill all inclusive because they are saying we have to pay the per person fee but on some of the reviews it is saying that everything is very expensive in the restaurants.

Are there any water sports available on-site?

How are the room accomodations?

Any reciews or help would be great......Its going to be my honeymoon so it has to be perfect.

Or reccomend another island that has good cheap food, entertainment and activities.

THANKS!!!

  2. No Gran Melia is Not still all inclusive. It used to be Paradisus which was all-inclusive. Gran Melia is Not. Most people go there believing it is. But I can tell you this hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It is a resort. The rooms are very nice. It has a huge amazing pool & other smaller pools. It has on-site restaraunts but they are expensive. There are no watersports on site but there are some close by. This resort has a nice beach but its not the best. Nearby Luquillo Beach is better. There are spas on site & a huge golf course called Coco Beach where they hosted PGA tours. This is located in Rio Grande where El Yunque Rain Forest is. You can go there one day & hike & swim in waterfalls. Also nearby Fajardo has excellent watersports, snorkeling & fishing. They also have small cays nearby with gorgeous beaches. & there is a Bioluminescent bay (glows in dark) called Las Croabas. I would recommend you take this vacation sometime. For your honeymoon it would be very nice also if you dont mind that the beach on site is not spectacular & there arent watersports. Your choice.  Happy Honeymoon!
