  1. Take a book and/or a few magazines with you. You will sign in, then they may have you watch a movie/video about jury duty. You will sit around for awhile, then some names will be called, if you are called you will be escorted with other potential jurors to a court room. The judge will explain what the case is and ask a few general questions to see if some people are or are not good for this particular case. You may be used as a juror if you are not a juror you are sent back to the waiting room and wait to see if you get called again. You get a break for lunch, then it's back to  the waiting room to sit and wait. Mostly it is very boring. Good Luck

  2. You get paid squat, will be bored to death 75% of the time, get to sit on hard chairs, freeze or roast and listen to a bunch of nonsense, but somewhere in there hopefully, you help some poor s*****k get justice.

Don't drink a ton  of anything before you go in, remember your deodorant, brush your teeth and don't fall for any BS.

.. oh, and thanks for not shirking your civic duty!
