Grand Theft Larceny?

My co-worker got a bag from one of those on-line places where you can borrow the handbag for a weekly or monthly fee. She never sent it bag and it is actually a week late. They emailed her today and said they are going to have her charged with her local police station for Grand Theft Larceny if she doesn't send it back in three days. Is this possible? Should she just send it back asap?

they can charge her with stealing for sure and depending on the price of the bag, it could be a felony.  she needs to send the bag back.
