Grand jury duty summons?

I got a summons for county grand jury duty today. It says that i have to attend once a week for 17 weeks. I'm a college student. If i attend jury duty once a week i will be so insanely behind in classes i will not be able to catch up. Is this a reasonable excuse?

I served on a Grand Jury for 6 months once

Most places ask if serving on a jury will cause you a hardship. You will probably be excused from this.
