Grandeur likely to feature in Arlington Million – Horseracing news
Grandeur is likely to appear in the Arlington Million after doing a fantastic job in his most recent outing at York, where he finished as a runner up behind Mukhadram.
According to trainer Jeremy Noseda, “Grandeur ran a lifetime best - it was a great performance. He was beaten only three-quarters by one of the best horses we've seen this season in England, giving him 3lb. Our plan was to use these two races as stepping
stones to America and we remain bang on course for the Arlington Million on August 17.”
The four-year-old gelding has not won a single race this season, but his performances have not been bad at all. As a result, his everybody in the camp is happy with him and expect him to deliver solid results in some major competitions scheduled in the coming
months.
Overall, the Irish runner has got a pretty decent strike rate, but he should lift it above 50 percent in order to get the attention of the punters with consistency. He was given a pretty decent starting price by the bookies last time, but the challenge was
a big one for him against Mukhadram.
Despite that, the young stallion gave his best and came close to winning the race, which he lost by less than a length. He did not make any mistake at all, but was unable to improve his speed, going into the final furlong, which prevented him from finishing
on top of the table in the end.
Grandeur has won a total of six races in his career and his fans would want him to add more to that tally in the coming future. He will not find it easy against the likes of Mull Of Killough, who could face him in the next race.
According to the latter’s trainer, Jane Chapple-Hyam, “He is heading for the Arlington Million. With the booking of Joseph O’Brien and a track and distance likely to suit, he has all the ingredients to run a good race.”
The seven-year-old gelding has got plenty of experience and knows how to pressurise his opponents. Moreover, his recent form is good, which will give him a great chance of beating Grandeur.
