I own a Howard Miller - Barwick Grandfather Clock Model #4875W "The Prince" from 1975. The weights and chains and pendulum have been disconnected from a move by my grandmother, she decided to give me the clock and now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get this thing chiming once again and its not easy, if anyone has any leads please let me know.

  1. Do you or does she have the original manual that came with the clock which shows how to put it together? You might look on the web site for Howard Miller clocks and find instructions or at least a phone number you might call for assistance. Also , there might be clock repair people listed in the Yellow Pages of your phone book to give you advice. Good clock repairmen are hard to find these days. I have a Herschede grandfather clock, but, the manufacturers went out of business several years ago. I have a repairman I can call when something goes wrong but he is talking of retiring soon. I love this clock that I have had for 35 years and will miss it terribly if the day comes when it no longer works. I hope you can get yours in working order. Good luck.
