Question:

Grandma's 80th Birthday Present?

So I was thinking for my Grandmother's 80th birthday present, me and my sister would go into one of those photo booths, then blow up the strip (if possible), frame it, and give it to our Grandmother.

Only thing is... how do you blow up a photo strip?

And... do you think this is a good idea, or is it egotistical to give our Grandmother a picture of us?

  1. it's not egotistical but i think she would enjoy it more if it was a photo of you and your sister with her. search your old family pics, maybe there's a pic somewhere of you guys with her or her with the whole family. you can take any picture to drug stores, they have the machines where you can scan a picture in and blow it up.

  2. Grandmas always love pictures of their grandbabies.

I would suggest blowing up a picture taken by a digital or film camera, however.  Those photobooths don't take high quality pictures, and the image will likely be distorted if you enlarge it.

  3. give necklace with his picture in necklace

  4. When I saw your question I was going to suggest pictures.  It is an awesome idea.  Your grandmother probably does not need another bathrobe or soap set.  Pictures are personal and I am sure that they will mean way more to her than anything else you can give her.  As for where to go to get the pictures blowing up, find your local print shop (kinkos, etc.) they should be able to help you.  Good Luck!!

  5. That sounds like a perfect presant for a family member turning 80..

    Good on you both..

Any pharmecy or small printing company should be able to do it.

Or get good quality photo paper and blow it up yourself on your pc..

  6. Grandma's always enjoy pictures of their grandchildren.  She probably doesn't need anything unless you give her a gift certificate at her favorite restaurant.

You might take the picture strip to a photography and they might blow it up for you.

Good luck and happy 80th birthday Grandma!

  7. Use an M-80. It can easily blow up a photo strip.

  8. No I think thats a great gift. Grandmas like photos of their grandkids. DO IT!!!!!!
