Grandparent rights (visitation)?

her daughter got her lil girl taken away by the welfare and the lil girl has now been adopted by a family leaving the mother with no rights to the child but the grandmother was wonder is there a such thing as grandparent rights like could she take the adopted parents to court and get like weekend visits with child?

Sorry, but grandparents have NO legal rights to visitation, unless they have some sort of guardianship of the child. They might want take it up with an attorney if they want guardianship, but if there was a good reason their daughter lost her child, they will be out of luck.

Mr. taco is wrong because some states do have grandparents rights. what you need to do is contact the courts to see if you have any rights and what they are.
