Grandparents want to take 18 month old to Mexico from USA. Can they do that without any hassle....?

..... from immigration upon return? They have her birth certificate and SS card, but she is not their child. We don't know if there are laws that might cause them trouble. They are legal in the US but Mexican citizens, I believe.

  1. Remember laws in Mexico are kind of laxed, I think there could be more of an issue the US migration checkpoint.


  2. the parents need to issue an authorization travel lettter (it has to be notarized) and  show this letter to the border when they come back...

  3. The child might need a passport to get back in if flying.
