My granny,,

Give me a cookie

I m no longer the naughty girl you know

I m sweet, please

Don’t be angry with me

I will never be bad girl ever

It’s too late I know

But

I want you to know, that I will never forget you even if you die

Cause part of us always

Will remember the cookie you made

The dress you sew

The teddy I hugged

Life made us busy

We didn’t stop to see, how wonderful to have a granny

We didn’t stop to talk to you more

To take from you some wisdom

And unfold love packed like a gift,

We missed all this

Cause we were so busy to stop

I hope I die before you

I never knew

That once you leave

The earth will be without cookies

And joy and fun

World will be the adult world

Where everyone seek for the train to catch

I want to tell you something granny

You may die in peace

And I will never put a grave for you in my heart and mind

I m not a a small girl

Next October it will be my birthday ,I will reach 31

You may not have time ,,,to give us gifts

But

You will always be in your kitchen,,

With the flour in your fingers

Trying to bake us love,,

  1. ....do NT worry about  GRANNY ....when the time comes  she will die very peace full...because will be so much love around her...and as they say when the spirit checks in...here and there Granny will come back ...to warn you....to let you know she is okey...to guide you...to protect you...and most important to let you know that she will never will stop loving you...So death basically is not the end...simply is a new begining ...that nobody really knows how it works.

  2. As a tribute to Granny this was most endearing i.e child like in its rendering. My prayer will be that she will not suffer, and for you to know that she will not be lost to you.

The reading of the poem was spoiled when you said that you were 31 years of age, for you dashed the illusion that it was a child writing it.

Never mind, it was a lovely reminder of a dearly loved Granny.

    Robert

  3. That made my eyes begin to water.

  4. That's just lovely.

Even if your Granny is taken from you she's immortalised by your poem.

She'll live on in your heart forever.

I'll say a little prayer for her.
