The Suns had a great performance overall, with three players scoring double-doubles.
OKC’s performance as a team
Oklahoma City Thunder went hitting 4-0f-6 three-pointers in the first quarter of the clash against Los Angeles Lakers. Although they could not win the game but they recorded a 67 per cent long range shooting.
Pau Gasol had a great performance in the same encounter. The Lakers’ centre chipped 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Los Angeles pull out their fourth straight win after the All-Star break.
Cleveland’s Hickson in his double-doubles
J.J. Hickson maintained his double-double charisma in Cavalier’s loss. The player who plays forward position went 9-for-15 from the field on his way to 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the win, nine of them offensive. The player also took two steals
and has now secured seven double-doubles in the last eight games. He has made an average of 18.8 points, 12.9 rebounds and also 1.63 blocks in the span of these games. The 22-year-old has notched 16 double-doubles in 2010-2011 season and shows promise to deliver
more.
Wright and Love in Warriors clash with the Timberwolves
Dorell Wright played tremendously well for the Golden State Warriors. The player started by pinning 15 points in the very first quarter going 3-for-4 from the long and 4-for-6 from the field. This helped the Warriors score 41 blazing points in the
first quarter of the loss.
Kevin Love was his usual ‘rebounding machine’ self in Minnesota Timberwolves win. The player had a big night as he notched 37 points and grabbed 23 rebounds to help Minnesota break their eight game losing streak.
