Grant Hill, Jamal Crawford - Players expected to be in new teams next NBA season (Part-3)
Grant Hill
One of the oldest players in the league, Grant Hill, who recently played for Phoenix Suns, is a free agent next season. The seven-time NBA All-Star has achieved a lot in his sparkling career. However, an NBA title is still elusive
on his resume and he would love to end his career with that.
At the twilight of his career, Hill will be looking forward to sign with a team where he can fulfil his championship dream rather than re-sign with Phoenix Suns. This is why, the 39-year-old Grant might not be seen in Suns’ uniform
ever again.
Many championship contenders for the next season like Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder will also be interested to benefit from the experience of Grant Hill and complete their championship expedition. Hill has
the experience and more importantly the desire required to make a deep playoff run and the above mentioned team would dearly like to use his services.
By posting an average of 13.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in the last season, Grant Hill has proved that he still have some action left in him and he can strengthen the front court of any team.
Jamal Crawford
Whenever NBA gets back to business, the first thing that will take place right away is the free agency which was postponed as a result of the lockout. Among the start-studded cast on the board, Jamal Crawford, who last played for
Atlanta Hawks, will certainly be one of the top free agents.
The 31-year-old guard has what it takes to deliver on the big stage. His shows against the Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bulls in last seasons’ playoffs were a testament to that fact. All he needs at the moment is some support,
a thing which he consistently lacked at Atlanta. The Hawks have been the perennial underachievers for quite some time and there are little chances that Crawford will stick around for much.
Also the fact, that Dwight Howard is one of his best buddies in the league and the Orlando Magic also need good players to surround Howard, South Beach seems to be the destination that Crawford might head for.
There are other NBA teams like Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls as well, who want to add some strength on the front court and will have their sight affixed on Crawford in the free agency. Atlanta Hawks will have a tough time
re-signing Jamal and most probably he will be picked up by some other team, where he can not only get a good contract, but might also get a shot at the NBA title.
