Grant Holt has commited his future to Norwich City, after putting pen to paper on a three year contract extension.
Norwich City captain Grant Holt has been a target for West Ham for quite some time. The Hammers had been pursuing the striker, having had three offers rejected by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723. Grant Holt himself had put in a transfer request in May, but has recently signed
a three-year contract extension with the club.
West Ham recently got promoted to the Premier League, and had reportedly put in three transfer bids for the striker worth £3m, £4m and £5.5m respectively. The Canaries had however rejected all three bids and it seemed that West Ham would follow up with a
fourth and final bid that would match the club’s valuation for their main target man.
Perhaps the Hammers were encouraged by Grant Holt’s desire to move away from Carrow Road when he handed in a transfer request in May, following the departure of manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton was in no mood to let go
of the club’s striker and captain.
The striker put all transfer speculation to rest yesterday when he signed a three-year contract extension with the Canaries that ties him to the club till 2015.
Manager Chris Hughton was thrilled to have secured the striker’s services and had this to say:
“I said when I first arrived that talking to Grant was a priority, as what he has achieved for Norwich and what he brings to the squad is there for all to see," Hughton told reporters."

"It's great news that he has signed a new contract and I'm really looking forward to getting down to work with Grant and the rest of the players when we return to training next week."
Grant Holt has been a key figure in Norwich City’s rise to the Premier League from the lower depths of English football after the club achieved back-to-back promotions.
“I'm really pleased we've agreed things and that I've got a three-year deal which gives me and my family a bit of security.
“I do appreciate where the club was coming from in terms of the process we've gone through to get to this point”.
Grant Holt will now take part in the club’s pre-season preparations and will join new signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 this summer.
