Former Chelsea manager, Avram Grant has insisted that John Terry is not a racist, despite a number of claims being made against the defender for him making racial slurs.
The defender was recently labelled to not be guilty in an incident regarding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Ferdinand-c6260. The two were believed to have had an interaction on the pitch, which apparently resulted in Terry making some racist slurs.
However, with the player being labelled not guilty by the Magistrates Court, the FA decided to step in and will now once again decide whether the player actually made any racist comments or not.
With so much external pressure being placed on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Grant has now gone on to insist that the FA should drop the charge altogether, since he is convinced that Terry is not a racist.
"Nobody thinks that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 is a racist, so the FA need to leave it," said the former Chelsea manager.”
"John likes to fight and he's very passionate about the national team so I was surprised.”

"But he's not a child, he knows what he's doing. One thing I must say about JT is that he's not a racist, that's for sure. He's a good man.”

"He respects everybody, he's good with people and I was very surprised that people thought bad things about him."
He then went on to add that if the FA does think the player is a racist, then they need to act fast instead of just lingering around and causing a lot of confusion about the player and his future.

"If [the FA] think JT is racist they need to do something but I think nobody thinks he is a guy like this," he continued.
Terry has labelled his retirement from football as a way of focusing and prolonging his club career. However, it is fairly obvious that the player made the abrupt call because the pressure from the FA was slowly starting to get to him.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just what decision is made in regards to the player, and whether he is going to face a ban or not.
