I am looking for grants and scholarships for secondary education. I am going to a community school and transferring to another college in the spring. I am going to focus on mathematics, and live in the state of Illinois, so i just need to know if there are any scholarships or grants that i cannot find, any help would be appreciated.

  1. The Barry Goldwater gives scholarship for a career in mathematics. http://www.governmentgrantsearch.com/art...

  2. If you are serious about teaching there is a new grant that the federal govt came out with. It's called the Teach grant.  It's given to students who want to become teachers.  The only catch is that the student has to agree to teach at a low-income school for a certain amount of time.  Or if they don't not get into teaching they have to pay back the grant in a form of a unsubsidized loan and the interest will accumulate starting from when the grant was received.

you can go to fafsa.ed.gov to get more information on it.  It just came out and fall will be the first semester that it will be given.  Or call your university because they might not be participating until the spring.  And of course you'd want to fill out the fafsa application because you do have fill to get the teach grant and you might be eligible for more money.  Good luck

  3. Fill out a FAFSA online, you can qualify for tons of grants.

  4. Not only fill out a FAFSA asap, but also get in contact with the school you plan on attending. They may have lots of scholarship programs you can apply for. Once you turn in your FAFSA, the financial aid office at your school should be able to tell you which grants you're qualified for.

    Hope this helps some!
