Ok , I was walking my dog around the neighborhood and I saw all these grapes in the road and noitced they were falling from a tree! They are a reddish purple and look just like the kind you get from the store. Also on the property is a tree that has what look like red raspberries! I was floored cos grapes and rasperries grow on a vine, not a tree! Ive tried finding what kind of trees these are, but am having no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

  1. The "raspberry tree" was most likely a mulberry tree. Very similar fruit.

Wild grape vines or long neglected grape vines love to climb trees. Kind of surprising until you see the vines tangled up with the branches.

  2. They might be grape vines growing on trees??

of maybe they're something else that just looks like it

  3. I don't know about the "grapes" but the "raspberries" are  surely Mulberry based on your description and the season. It is super fast grower, and the fruit comes in bland white, and yummy blac and red.  Some are as long as three inches! Birds and people love the fruit but birds tend to drop purple mess on sidewalks and cars so most people plant and are more familiar with the fruitless type.
