Grapefruit Diet??

Ok my sister was looking for a rapid weight lose diet and she happen to come across something called a Grapefruit diet?

it's were you eat 3 meals a day with no snack in between! but within those meals you have include 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces or grapejuice!

* Breakfast

2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, black coffee, 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice

* Lunch

Salad with salad dressing, unlimited meat, and 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice

* Dinner

Red or green vegetables (except starchy ones such as peas, beans, corn, sweet potatoes) or salad, unlimited meat or fish, and 1/2 grapefruit or 8 ounces grapefruit juice

hmmm...seems fishy to me!

i don't get it does it really work?

  1. yes it helps, reducing the carbs will make u lose weight, plus the citric of the grape fruit will detox your body, u should drink a good amount of water too


  2. Lets think about this~ wouldn't this amount of food start her losing weight without eating the grapefruit? There is no safe 'quick' weight loss. It has to be controlled and done properly over a long period of time, and it does not include 'magic' combinations of different foods, it involves a medically safe diet combined with physical activity. Rapid weight loss is not safe weight loss. It can seriously harm your health.

  3. Honey, I'm an old gal who has been on several diets in my life. Grapefruit is great and in on just about every diet plan you see. The only thing with me is when I drink too much of the juice it kills my bladder. I recently lost 20 pounds and won the Biggest Loser at my school over about 35 people. The way I did it was cutting down on sodas. I lost 10 pounds fast doing that. Then I just watch the grams of fat. I always say if something taste good, don't eat it.

    The bad thing is that once you quit the grapefruit thing, the weight comes back and brings friends.

  5. skip the dinner and it should work like a charm, I personally would get burnt out on the grapefruit thing, when dieting you should do something you can do the rest of your life and make it a daily routine.
