Okay, so, I need to know just a few things, and these can be based on the book, or not

1. What keeps men from uniting?

2. What advice does the character Floyd Knowles give?

3. Why does Connie leave?

4. and what does Ma mean when she says "Why, we're the people-- we go on." ?

Just a question here, but did you actually read the book?  These don't seem like difficult questions for someone who actually read the book...just a thought..

Connie leaves because she a selfish and dreams of other things. She want more than her husband or anyone can give her.. She really abandons her family not just leaves.

Ma means that bad things go on, yet people survive through all kind of things.
