Grapes of Wrath movie?

how similar to the book is the movie are there any parts added or excluded?

The end of the book compared to the movie is the biggest exception, which I can understand, because if you have read the original book, I seriously doubt they could film that in the movie, especially considering the time period (1930's - 1940's).  I would still rent the movie, its very good.

There is a lot more to the book than there is to the movie, or even the play for that mater. There are a few characters in the book that are not in the movie, but it has been a long time since I have read it, and I can't remember their names.
