  1. y=2x-2...the 2 in front of the x is the slope, and the -2 is the y-intercept.

    Draw a dot at -2 on the y-axis (go down 2 spots and draw a point). This is the y-intercept: (0, -2).

    From that point, go up 2 and right 1. Draw another dot. (This is because the slope of the line is 2, which is also written as 2/1.)

    Use a ruler to connect the two dots. This is the graph.

  2. y-intercept is when x = 0

    y(0) = 2(0)-2 = -2

    to graph, simply plug in numbers for however many points you wish and graph..  i suggest x = -5 to 5..  that would give you a good range to graph.
