  1. Plug it into the slope intercept equation:

    y=mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

    Plug in your coordinates for x and y, and plus in your slope for m:

    -4 = (2)(2) + b

    -4=4 + b

    -8 = b

    So the y intercept is (0, -8). Plot that point and the point (2, -4) and connect the line.


  2. Draw a graph, put a point where  x(2) and y(-4) meet.  It should be in the lower right quadrant.  Then go up 2 and right one to put a point at (3,-2).  Then draw a straight line through the two points.   Very simple.

  3. You could plot the point (2, -4), and from there use the slope of 2 and go up 2 and then right 1 and plot another point where you end up, and then draw the line going through the two points. You could use more than two points, going to a third point from the second point using the slope.
