  1. a line is y=mx+b...

    m is slope

    and u have an x and a y

    so plug them in

    5=(-1)(-2)+b

    solve for b

    5=2+b

    3=b

    and then write

    y=-1x+3 / y=-x+3

    hope I helped!

    oh sorry and u said u need to graph it~

    so yeah now the "y intercept" where x=0 AKA the y axis...there is a point on +3...and the slope is -1 which is -1/1 which means slope {rise over run} u rise -1 units for every +1 unit...u go down one unit for every unit u go left....so then u can graph it~

    this way u can make sure that ur original line -2,5 is on the line too =)

  2. Graph the point -2, 5.

    Put your pencil on the dot, and go down one square and right one square.  Make another point.  Connect the dots, and extend the line on both sides.

  3. m=-1

    y-5=-1(x-(-2))

    y-5=-1(x+2)

    y-5=-x-2

    y=-x+3
