Graphic Design after college?

I'm starting college soon and my major is graphic design. And I'v been thinking about after college, I know I can get a job in the field but I was thinking about which field (Advertising, Web Design, Illustration etc.), & I was thinking of what kind of corporation to work for. Is there any companies thats good to work for (not a name but a type of company, like a firm or something), that pays good.

I know it also depends on region. I live in New Jersey, close to New York (lke 30 mins.)

You have to try working on small companies first. But if your really that good just try experiencing working on small companies. It company or web design company.

Since you are just beginning college, moving forward you'll naturally discover which design disciplines appeal to you the most and which you excel in. When those two factors align, you'll know your strong suit. Though it's always good to be aware of your strengths and weaknesses, don't feel like you have to focus on one discipline. Most companies look for individuals who can wear many hats - those are the people who can transition into leadership roles. And, if you decide to become independent or start your own firm someday, having that spectrum of talents will greatly benefit you.
