I recently bought and installed a new graphics card and power supply for my PC. I started the pc and everything went fine. Today I got a hard drive, installed it (with some difficulty). The hard drive is a seagate SATA. I went to startup the pc, and the fan on the graphics card starts spinning at full speed, and I get no video output. I tried unplugging the hard drive and using the old card, and all I get is a loud beep sound. I'm thinking I may have done something when trying to install the hard drive. Any idea what might be wrong?

  1. did you remove your old hard drive?

  2. Hmm i would say the power supply is not big enough (unlikely) and a beep is not good if it normally dident do it. i would look up the mobo and see what it means.

  3. Hmmm. Doesn't sound good. You changed a couple of things at once. Did you get all the power supply connections correct? Well, it's hard to s***w up a hard drive installation. Did you put the graphicscard in the correct slot for it? I've never know that beeping sound to be good. Hopefully you backed up all of your data. Can you start from scratch and just change one thing at a time?
