Graphics card and motherboard help?

Does anyone know if you can fit a EVGA 896-P3-1260-AR GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card onto a MSI K9A2 Platinum mother board.

And also would you please check this computer system idea for any inconpatable parts:

  1. yes it will perfect because all Ge-Force vid-cards when in the DD3 class will fit into all MSI K9A2 Platinum mother boards. (i have 3 towers so i know what i speak)


  2. Does it have the same number of plates on the slot provided. Its only a video card. If it does not show on your screen well then its not compatible on your PC as well.

    A compatible Video card well show a visual light screen on your monitor before it boots up. When you boot up it well right then gives you how many bit your card gives and post beeps.

  3. Any PCIe video card will work with that motherboard, but SLI will not work since it's a CrossFire motherboard (SLI = NVIDIA, CrossFire = ATI). I assume the reason you're getting a motherboard with multiple PCIe slots and an SLI-ready video card is because you plan on installing multiple cards, in which case you'll have to get an ATI card that supports CrossFire and set it up that way. There's nothing stopping you from using a single NVIDIA card if you want to, though. Other than that everything looks good.
