I've made a graph and I've put time on the bottom and distance on the left hand side....but I thought time was a dependent variable, and distance was independent, so doesn't the indepent variable go on the bottom and the dependent go on the side???

  1. It's depending on which time variable you're basing your self and on when distance variable your basing yourself.

If it's time to go and distance to go, distance is the independent one.

  2. Your graph is OK.

Time is an independent variable and goes on the bottom.
