Grapple/Throw question?

I have seen this move in many films and vids... It is the one where someone charges at you, you grab his arm and throw him over your back or something, as it has variations... It is something like

that at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh-roZLH61c, from 1:10 to 1:13 (where Snake throws the guy by grappling the gun), with the difference that the opponent doesn't carry a firearm and is thrown over the back.

Is there any tutorial/video on how to do this or other grapples?

  1. It looked like Snake took the guy's momentum, struck him on the forearm, pulled him even more forward, moved to the side and swept his foot out from under him while rolling/throwing the guy to the front.  There are several throws like this one.   I would say Snake did what is called Hiza Guruma---Knee Wheel, but he also had some pressure point strikes in it to get the attacker even more off-balance.

As for a tutorial/video, the best thing is to find someone who knows either Aikido or Judo.

These are similar to what Snake did:

Judo: De Ashi Harai (Barai) - Advanced foot sweep

Judo: Hiza Guruma - Knee wheel
