Question:

Grass Stains from a White Hoody?

How can I get out grass stains from my white hoody? The back of the hoody is completely white, but the front has some silver and other colors on it so is bleaching still an option? If so, how do I even bleach? Any other simple ways of getting out the stains?

Please be as descriptive as possible. Thanks.

  1. Actually even if you bleach the grey stripe-looking t-shirts it doesn't ruin the color. I'd say your best bet is going for it.

  2. Before trying bleach which will fade the colours and possible make them run, why not try Shout.  Squirt it on the grass stain, rub the fabric together at the stain and let it sit for half an hour. Wash in cold water and do not dry unless the stain is gone.If stain persist, repeat the process.

  3. I'd put it in the washer on the lowest water level possible, add OxiClean, Biz, and detergent.  Let the machine agitate with the lid open.  Let it soak in the washer for awhile and keep repeating the agitating/soaking process.  I'd keep it in the washer all day.  Then run it all the way through the wash cycle.  Hopefully that will get it clean without ruining the front of your hoodie.  Good luck.

  4. I think that oxy clean is a miracle solution. I have two little boys that get all kinds of stains all over everything, and I use oxy clean and shout. I would first squirt shout on the entire grass stain, then sprinkle some oxy clean onto the stain and let it sit for an hour. Throw it in a cold wash. It usually works the first time around. But if not just repeat the process beofre you put it in the drier. If you put it tin the drier the heat will set the stain!

Oxy clean is a non chlorine bleach, so I have found that is is safe for all colors and clothing. I have only had troubles with using it on Khaki things. (pants, skirts, etc..)

    Good luck!
