Grassland help?

ok so i have this assignment on grassland and i need links to websights. i have no clue what to do. all i no is i have to answer these questions: what kind of plants?,animal?,climate?,landscape?,natu... recorces, economic?, and people are in grass land. answers to these questions would be great but links would be better, thanks

Well, what type of grasslands?

The great plains of middle America?

The savannas of Africa?

Maybe the prairies found in other areas like the tundras in Canada and Alaska.

I could tell you that grasslands do not have abundant rainfall, so trees can not grow.  IT would also have periodic fire that is essential to the perpetuation of the community.

Did you know that Indiana was known as the prairie state and in the eighty's they could not find and natural grasslands?  Luckily, it was located in some old cemeteries where seed was collected, grown and spread back into the natural areas.

Here in Florida, two elements create, shape, and maintain the habitats; fire and water.  All life depends on water, and all plant communities have been shaped by fire.  In fact, we have fire dependent communities with fire adapted species.
