Gray duct tape acceptable for shipping at post office?

Question

is it acceptable to use duct tape or do I have to use that clear wide tape when shipping something via post office? I ran out of the clear stuff but only have duct tape left,alot of it lol.

I just mailed a package yesterday completely wrapped up in gray duct tape. The only thing you ever need to watch for is that if you re-use a box than any labels or markings on the box need to be completely blacked out or covered... I recommend duct tape ;).

You can but they don't like it. They like the clear stuff.
