Gray lines on sony mini dv playback?

i had my mini dv dcr-hc28 camera on top of my computer when uploading video. when i went to playback mode there are 5 gray lines going horazontal down the playback screen. how do i fix this?

oh and also i am buying a tape head cleaner, will that work or will i have to return the camera for a new one?

Yes, do that...clean the recording and erasing heads.

and when you pop-in a new cassette, fast forward and rewind first before recording.
