Gray walls for a teenager bedroom??

Question

If I paint only one wall like a grayish color...

what color should i paint my other walls??

and what color furnisher would go with it?

and color bedspread?

please help!

Gray can look great with lots of other colors.  I like pink and gray, blue and gray, coral and gray, some greens and gray, yellow and gray, black and gray, red and gray.  If you are set on painting one wall gray, find your bedding first then choose the other paint color from it.

Gray is neutral...just about any color would go...think of your clothes..what goes with gray? Plum, navy, orange, black, etc. I would choose 2 colors of gray w/ the darker being the accent. Use any color furniture as long as it's neutral...preferably black, white, not stained wood color. Industrial looking furniture (metals) would be best. Is it for a boy or girl? For boys, use navy with red for a pop/accent color. For girls, use plum with an orange or teal accent color. It's all about perspective. Get some teenager bedding magazines or even adult bedding magazines...quality ones like pottery barn or even jcpenney and you can also go online to their web sites for ideas. Hope this helps!

Grey isnt the perfect colour for a teenagers bedroom. Maybe a darker shade of grey or a paler shade of grey. Also you could have black and white but blend the colours in if your feeling artistic. Silver furniture would go well with those colours :)

Go for a wallpaper with slight shades of grey within it along with flashes of another brighter contrasting colour such as teal or deep red/wine. Or go with a more complimentary colour like duck blue or dusky pink and accessorize to match with slightly similar but bolder colours. Will look great, have fun :)

dull pink, or sea green, or dusky blue...even rusty dull purple.....

its amazing how many colours go with Gray...same for furniture, my walls are a grayish green , i team it with real wooden furniture, dull cream/white bed linen....some bokhara rugs.

But  the general chaos of books, dvds, etc etc...harmonises any differences.

I guess it depends on the hue of the gray. I've seen gray with yellow look really nice.  I think any color of furniture would look great. Personally, I like lighter, natural wood color such as maple or honey oak. Perhaps a bright, flower pattern bedspread would be the best option.

Gray can be a really elegant color. But gray can have a tinge of blue or brown or green in it, and that complicates things.

Go to the Benjamin Moore web site benjaminmoore.com and click on "personal color viewer." You don't have to sign in, just select "start painting." You can choose from lots of room pictures, and try out different colors.

Other paint companies have the same thing on their web sights, but I haven't tried them.

That would look like a duegeon. Dark colors for boys, lighter colors for girls.
